At Purely Electric, EVs aren’t one part of what we do — they’re our focus. That difference shows up in every Tesla that comes through the bay.
Tesla service is all we do — not a sideline
Most shops see a handful of EVs a month. We see them all day. That means the right diagnostic tools, high-voltage safety training, and technicians who already know how a Model 3 differs from a Model S — instead of learning on your car. When you hand us the keys, you’re handing them to people who work on electric drivetrains every single day.
Several of our technicians are trained and certified former Tesla employees. They learned these cars inside the factory service network, and they bring that experience to a shop where you can actually talk to them. High-voltage work stays in-house — including battery repair and refurbishment down to the cell level, rather than an automatic pack replacement.
What we repair on Teslas
- Battery & high-voltage systems — maintenance, diagnostics, module and pack service, and repair and refurbishment down to the cell level.
- Drive units & motors — front and rear drive-unit noise, failure, and replacement, including discounted motor replacement options.
- Screens & software — MCU/infotainment faults, eMMC failures on older units, service-alert diagnostics, and driver-assist recalibration.
- Suspension — control arms, bushings, and air-suspension faults on Model S and X, plus upgrades that fix uneven tire wear on all models.
- Brakes & regen — service tuned to how Teslas actually wear pads and rotors.
- 12V & electrical — the small failures that can strand a car with a full battery. We keep 12V batteries in stock for same-visit replacement.
- A/C & thermal — leak diagnosis, failed component replacement, and thermal-management repair, with same-day fixes when possible.
- Collision & body — handled through our Body & Collision service, including sensor recalibration.
- Glass replacement — windshields and windows in both OEM and aftermarket glass, so you can choose on price or on factory spec.
Motor and battery upgrades
Repair is one half of what we do. The other is making an older Tesla faster, longer-range, or better-riding than it left the factory.
- Sport motor swaps — performance drive units for Model S and Model X.
- Bigger battery packs — more usable range, plus LFP swaps and 980 inverter swaps for Model 3 and Model Y.
- Suspension upgrades — factory and aftermarket parts, including fixes for the uneven tire wear that affects all models.
More ways we keep your Tesla on the road
- Annual maintenance — drive unit and battery health checks, fluid and filter exchanges, and a clear report on what your car needs next.
- Third-party warranty coverage — we work with third-party warranty providers, so covered repairs can be handled here rather than at a service center.
- Discounted battery & motor replacement — priced well below factory, and we will fit a battery you supply yourself if you would rather source your own.
- Rapid service timelines — no waiting weeks or months for an appointment. We get your car in, diagnosed, and back to you on a timeline that respects your week.
Common Tesla issues we see
Heat, potholes, and mileage take their toll. The work we do most often: diagnostics for service alerts, repairs for closures like door handles and window regulators, suspension wear, 12V battery failures — we keep them in stock for speedy replacement — and A/C repairs for leaks and failed components that show up the first hot week of summer. If your Tesla is doing something new and you’re not sure what it is, that’s exactly the conversation we like to have.
Tesla models we service
Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y — all model years, in and out of warranty.
We do not currently service Cybertruck or Roadster.
Why Tesla owners choose an EV-only shop
Shorter waits, direct communication, and often lower cost — without giving up EV expertise. You talk to the person working on your car, get a plain-language explanation, and get back on the road far sooner than a service-center appointment allows.
Quick answers
Do you work on Teslas that are out of warranty?
Yes. Out-of-warranty cars are most of what we see. Model S, 3, X, and Y of any model year are welcome, and there is no penalty for high mileage — we will tell you honestly what is worth fixing and what is not.
Do you repair high-voltage batteries, or only replace them?
We repair them. HV battery maintenance, module and pack service, and repair and refurbishment down to the cell level are all done in-house. Replacement is an option, not the only option — and when a pack does need replacing, our pricing is well below factory, including fitting a battery you supply yourself.
Are you cheaper than the Tesla Service Center?
Often, yes — and usually much faster. We quote before we work, use factory or aftermarket parts depending on what you want to spend, and you are not waiting weeks or months for an appointment slot.
Do you accept third-party warranty coverage?
Yes. We work with third-party warranty providers and can handle covered repairs here. Bring your policy details when you book and we will confirm what it covers before any work starts.
Can you make my Tesla faster or give it more range?
Yes. We do sport motor swaps for Model S and X, larger battery packs, LFP swaps and 980 inverter swaps for Model 3 and Y, and suspension upgrades using both factory and aftermarket parts.
